	Birth STories What Client's Have to Say! OUR SESSION REALLY HELPED! We just wanted to tell you how much our sessions helped us during the birth. It was a great experience! The session we did with you were helpful on so many levels, actually way beyond the birth itself. I think that it’s something that all expecting parents should do. No DRUGS! Our new baby daughter was born on Saturday morning, at 5:42 AM. She weighed in at nine pounds and fourteen ounces, and was twenty-one inches long and I used NO DRUGS! Dad Comment's "Thank you, for all that you have taught us. You've eased our minds and make us excited rather than fearful of our birth experience." We certainly appreciated the hypnosis training you gave us. We both agree that is made all the difference! We've had the opportunity now to watch several other births take place within our family and we've explained to them what we did in place of your typical childbirth preparation classes, and nobody seems to have a clue what hypnosis is really about and how effective it can be.. Then we watch them through the process and my wife and I both inevitably look at each other and I know she's thinking the same thing I am, "Wow, I'm glad we did hypnosis", or "I wish they'd given hypnosis a try". We want to thank you for all your work with us, and we think it had a lot to do with my wife's fast labor. We entered the Birthing Center at 3:45 AM and within two hours our new baby was lying on her chest. What a great birth!....The call came in the early AM, I caught a 8:00 AM flight to Seattle....we arrived at the birthing center at 10:30 AM. Without missing a beat we had the baby and I didn't even miss a meal or breaking a sweat (Joke) and Nina and I walked out with THE ACE our big beautiful baby boy. Now anyone that says it is not critical to have your mind and body working in conjunction at childbirth.. JUST DOESN"T GET IT. Our sessions were really wonderful. I used the techniques the whole time, and they got me very calm and comfortable. I found them very helpful. Hospital Birth's Within the Miracle techniques were really wonderful! I know that Hypnosis techniques certainly carried me through it because there is no way I would have found the energy otherwise. The techniques were really wonderful, and I was in the Jacuzzi, going from six and a half to seven centimeters. I used the techniques the whole time, and they got me very calm and comfortable. I just found them very helpful. I used the Hypnosis along with an epidural at about seven centimeters, and the combination gave me a wonderful birth. We came to the hospital really early to set up the video camera and settle in, and we had planned to go have dinner in the hospital cafe but that did not happen because everything happened so fast! Instead began pushing in the doorway. We were only at the hospital for twenty minutes before we had a baby in our arms. She's big, beautiful, and healthy! I wanted to thank you for the Within the Miracle and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. I found our sessions to be very effective. The most amazing part for me was that the hypnosis worked even though I did not believe it would! For anyone out there thinking about hypnosis...please note that I am 38 years old, just a regular person with no special talent in getting myself hypnotized. In fact, I thought that it probably would not work. Yet, I found that hypnosis works even though my husband and I did not believe in it. Here is my story. I decided to do HypnoBirthing classes with you because I was very afraid of the pain at birth. I also knew that I did not have a big pain tolerance. I was trying to decide what would be worse getting pain medication and risking that it could be harmful to the baby or going without medication and suffering with pain that I thought I may not be able to bear. I decided to go for a non-medicated homebirth because after doing an extensive research, I concluded that this would be best for the baby. I often woke up at night fearing birth of my baby. Then my husband and I signed up for your class. I practiced my hypnosis twice a day. I worried a lot that it would not work because every time I listened to the tape I fell asleep and I really did not hear what was on the tape. I forced myself to stay awake only to find myself dozing off again. You always told me that that is the way it is supposed to work, yet deep inside I was very skeptical. However, I did notice one important thing, during my hypnosis practice sessions at home. Every time I started the tape, the fear of the childbirth was nonexistent. Then finally the day came. My water broke at my midwife's office. She sent me home telling me to call her when contractions started. Well, they started fifteen minutes later. So I called her up letting her know that they were 3-5 minutes apart, kind of painful but so far I'm OK. I was instructed to call back when the contractions were one minute in duration. My doula arrived in just few minutes and started setting up the pool for a water birth. She never had time to fill it! Instead, she was right by my side assisting me. My birth was very rapid, one contraction after another there was no break. I thought of starting your hypnosis tape, but suddenly I realized that I did not need to hear it because it was playing in EVERY cell of my body. To my huge surprise, I also realized that I had no fear, yet I was doing the most unthinkable thing...GIVING BIRTH!. Yes, I had pain, but it was so bearable. Not even a thought of pain relief went through my mind. Never in my whole life, I had such CONNECTION with my whole body. I labored on a birthing ball (a must have!) and on all fours while making a rocking motions. Know one had ever showed me this position. I just did it instinctively. I was very alert and listened carefully to the instructions of my doula. She also made a suggestion as the contractions were getting harder that I could squeeze her hand. I did and almost immediately I had to let go because of the hypnosis suggestions: my hands and body where absolutely loose. By the time my midwife and husband arrived I was ready to push. I pushed my son "Oliver" out in three easy pushes (as the hypnosis suggested). I did not push hard. I expected excruciating pain, yet the pain was tolerable. I remember I was thinking as the head slipped out...this couldn't be IT...this is so much easier than I thought! When they placed an 11-lb. baby Oliver with a 15-inch head (unusually large) in my arms, I was in total ecstasy screaming and thanking God at the same time! The total duration of the birth was only 2 HOURS. I only had a half an inch tear, which I did not feel at all! Thank you Debbie for teaching me to give birth this way! It has left me feeling very powerful as a woman! There are no words for the huge sense of accomplishment and pride I now have from this beautiful birth experience! Midwife Client's I believe that I was empowered not only by the sessions we had but by all the incredible experiences I have been honored to witness thanks to the work you do. It is an incredible value to the women, babies, families and midwives of this community! Keep up the good work. I had a baby girl at HOME! *It was awesome* – the hypnotherapy really helped. So much better than my last delivery. We had a wonderful and FAST homebirth. Practicing with your tape leading up to the birth *really helped to ease my anxieties and when the moment arrived my body and mind just surrendered to the whole situation.* My water broke at 10:30 PM and she was born at 4:16 AM. V-Bac's (vaginal birth after Cesarean Section) I delivered a healthy baby girl, at home, in about two and a half hours and she was a vaginal birth! Our last child was a C-section. I firmly believe that our sessions helped me to deal with a long early labor and intense birth without fear, and to trust in my body and the process instead of fighting the pain. I also believe that it helped me get from 3cm to birth in 2 hours! *I got our DRUG FREE! V-BAC* and an incredible, healthy baby girl to add to our family. *How awesome is that?!* Our daughter was born on Wednesday; when you called I was in labor. The funny thing was that my sister told me later that your message was left right around the time I requested to listen to my hypnosis birthing tape again. I had listened to it extensively in the early stages of labor to keep me relaxed and low key. And there was a time later on where I felt that I needed it, so I put it in, and then you called. So it was like our minds must have been in tune at that point; we certainly were connected. Our last birth was a cesarean section due to a placenta previa. This time was it was long, and hard. I have to confess that; but we did get a vaginal birth and I felt really good about that. This time was thirty two hours of labor, seven hours of which were pushing. It was long, and hard. I have to confess that; but we did get a vaginal birth and I felt really good about that. I know that Hypnosis techniques certainly carried me through it because there is no way I would have found the energy otherwise. It's a Boy! We are very ecstatic! He's healthy, he's wonderful, and you really did help us with this. It's a really good memory, so much better than my first. They induced me on Wednesday and he was born about 6:30. He turned out to be a very big baby, and we were very surprised - eleven pounds and two ounces. It was a difficult labor because he was turned wrong, and they had to get his head turned around because it was not coming out. Nobody had quite anticipated that big of a baby. The hospital environment had so many distractions, people coming in, and they induced my labor. By law, they said it requires that I be monitored the whole time. So that limited my ability to move and get myself comfortable. So I used both the Hypnosis and the epidural. They worked great together. Twins My doula said that I was definitely in a Hypnotic trance zone. Our twin daughters were born last Friday morning, after a full night of natural labor. We have two beautiful baby girls who came out healthy and perfect The nurse at Providence hospital really helped me go "natural"; it was fantastic!
